In the second part of the interview (you can see the first part here ) with Eric Enge of Perficient Digital, we talked about SEO and why Google's advice to the SEO community might not match what we would see in the real world of SEO. In fact, sometimes, what might work for clients A and B might not work for the C client – so it goes beyond "Google said this" and becomes "that's what worked for my clients".
We also spent some time discussing the topic of creating content on a website. From the quality of the content, to the content structure and then the promotion of that content for links and sharing.
Finally, we explained how he managed his customers' SEO expectations and what happened when a Google update was problematic for his goals.
