Step 1: Configure WordPress

Before you can install Elementor and start designing your first site, you will need to get WordPress up and running.

Download and activate Elementor

Once you've got a compatible theme, you can finally install Elementor. You can start with the free version and upgrade to Elementor Pro if you wish. Parts of this tutorial (such as creating topics from scratch for blog posts or changing header / footer ) only work with the premium version. Type “Elementor” in the search bar, download and activate it.

Get Elementor pro for free

To install Elementor Pro, go back to Plugins > Add a new one and click on Download the plugin and download this zip file. Once it has been downloaded, activate it and on the WordPress dashboard, go to Elementor > License to validate your key.

You should now see the 'Elementor tab in your backend. Once everything is set up, let's get to know the interface.

Step 2: Get to know Elementor

There are several ways to access the Elementor editor. You can create an article or a page by going to Pages > Add a new or Articles > Add a new . Whether you're using Gutenberg or the classic editor, you should see a button that says Edit with Elementor .

When you click on it, you'll instantly be dropped to your new page in the Elementor interface. On the right, you will see your editing area, probably empty, except for a box asking you to add a section. Once you've done that, click on the widget and its settings will appear in the editor panel on the left. This will allow you to modify its content, such as uploading a new image, adding text, customizing the animation, styling or changing the text color and font design.

There are dozens of widget options available. . The free kit will give you access to the basics: headers, inserting images and videos, customizing the sidebar, short codes – everything you need to create a good, simple website. Step 3: Create pages with Elementor

Once you've mastered the editor, it's time for the fun part: creating your own blog with Elementor! From static pages to menus and blog posts, we'll help you understand everything. By the time you're done, you'll have a fully functional web presence.

Keep in mind that unless you're using the premium version of Elementor, you'll only be able to create static pages like your page home and about the page. To design things like a menu bar, a footer, or create dynamic pages, you'll need Elementor Pro.

You also need to be familiar with the templates, unless you want to build your site entirely from from zero. Models can shorten a process by several hours in minutes giving you a base to work on. With the customization of Elementor, you don't have to worry about looking too much like other sites when you count on a model. Customize the main pages
